We are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator who brings strong technical depth, accuracy, and field understanding to support a wide range of electrical construction and industrial projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with proven experience producing competitive, complete, and well-documented estimates.
Prepare detailed estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and timelines.
Review drawings, blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine installation procedures and costs.
Perform take-offs and develop quantity lists.
Draft and submit change orders.
Order materials and parts in coordination with procurement.
Support project teams from initial bid through project closeout.
Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and accounting to ensure estimate alignment and accurate billing.
Maintain communication with internal teams, customers, inspectors, and vendors.
Attend project meetings, staff meetings, and site inspections as needed.
Prepare and maintain required reports, forms, and documentation.
Use estimating and business software to enter, access, and analyze data.
Request and attend municipality inspections when necessary.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and proof of work authorization.
5–10 years of electrical estimating experience, preferably in commercial, industrial, or heavy industrial environments.
Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project) and estimating tools such as Accubid or similar platforms.
Understanding of electrical systems including AC/DC motors, VFDs, motor control centers, PLC systems, process control systems, and industrial electronics.
Familiarity with machines, tools, and equipment used in electrical installation, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe job-site practices.
Ability to interpret complex technical documents and specifications.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Experience working in industrial environments such as manufacturing plants, mills, refineries, or steel service centers.
Industry certifications such as:
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE)
Electrical Engineering Technology certification
OSHA 30
NCCER Electrical
Experience with MasterBuilder or similar construction management software.
Prior background in both estimating and field installation/maintenance (a major plus).
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs independently and carry materials short distances.
Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
Ability to work in environments that may include heat, cold, noise, moisture, fumes, or odors.
